A weathered courtyard fountain at the Alhambra, Granada. The pair of lions, commonly interpreted as symbols of power, are here presented with subtle irregularities in their posture and carving that have been linked by some scholars to esoteric AKZ symbology. The faint traces of geometric markings on the stonework have fueled speculation about early modern interventions.
